Based on extensive studying and surveying of the KOF fans, SNK made a team of fighters that have been yearned for by many. Blue Mary, the second femme fatale from the "Garou Dentetsu (a.k.a. Fatal Fury)", is a top class spy. Her fierce fighting technique and charming appearence has earned the hearts of many fans. The scene for Blue Mary in the King of Fighters '97 opens with a mysterious client asking the investigation on the famous gangster Ryuji Yamazaki. Getting information from the client that knew that Yamazaki was entering the Martial Arts tournament with the English punk (and Geese Howard's right hand man) Billy Kane, Blue Mary decides to enter KOF '97 with them. Considering how dangerous her team mates-to-be are, that was a bold move for her. However, how did the "client" get this valuable information? Though she had a policy not to check on her clients, Blue Mary decides to do her own sniffing around. Blue Mary is definitely one of the more cheerful characters in the game, and she is one big blonde bombshell. She seems to always be perky and energetic. However, there is also a part of her that is cool and calculating. Thus, her cheerful part of her hides her cold side, making her a successful spy. She has a dog, "Anton", that appears in the game once in a while. People who've seen "Blue Mary's Blues" might know a little more about the pooch (I haven't, so I know very little...^_^;). Base on the nature of her job, Blue Mary is an independent girl who works primarily alone. But for a young woman like her, things could get a little lonely (that's kind of based on the "Blue Mary's Blues" clip I saw a while ago). Anton seems to be her only real friend and family. Then, she comes to Southtown and meets Terry Bogard... Her fighting style seems to parallel herself in Real Bout Fatal Fury. Blue Mary as a player can be quite a tricky girl to master. Though her speed makes up her lack in strength, her special moves are kind of hard to pull off, timing wise. But the flair and grace in her moves alone is a good reason to try her out. I must admit, her super moves, "Mary's Typhoon", "Mary's Splash Rose", and "Mary's Dinamite Swing" are all quite a sight to behold! One should also note that, due to her trickiness, Blue Mary can be an effective fighter once mastered.
